RAMON LIMA
Ramon Lima is a dancer and choreographer whose artistic research places the experience of the body at the heart of the aesthetic and conceptual reflection of his projects. This approach informs both the creative processes and the relationship with the audience. He conceives dance as a means of expanding the notion of the body, envisioning it as a space of possibilities.
Ramon Lima trained at the Instituto de Artes de Brasília (IdA), where he studied performing arts from 2012 to 2016. In 2019, he moved to France to further develop his artistic practice, joining the Master’s program in Artistic Creation – Performing Arts at Université Grenoble Alpes, where he specialized in research-creation.

In 2021, as part of his master’s completion, he created Protopolis, a choreographic installation exploring notions of belonging through artistic composition protocols unfolding in urban spaces.

In 2023, he joined T.R.I.P, a choreographic practice and research laboratory led by multidisciplinary artist Ivana Müller at Le Pacifique – CDCN Grenoble. There, he began a new line of research on the relationship between the tactile and the textile, which resulted in the participatory choreographic installation MIRAGE.

That same year, he premiered Somnambule, a solo performance that investigates the dimensions of sleep as a site of resistance to hegemonic ways of existence.

In 2024, he was selected for the 8th edition of Édition Spéciale, a professional development program for choreographer-authors, organized by CN D – Centre national de la danse and La Belle Ouvrage.

Looking ahead to 2025, Ramon is preparing CALOR, a trio that physically explores different scales of heat in search of an expanding body, one that goes beyond the limits of its own skin. The premiere is scheduled for November 2025 at TROIS C-L – Maison pour la danse, Luxembourg.

For the 2024/2025 season, he will receive support from the CCN de Rillieux-la-Pape through the Matières Premières program, as well as from Boom’Structur CDCN de Clermont-Ferrand within the framework of Embrasser l’avenir, dedicated to emerging choreographers in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Ramon Lima also collaborates with choreographers Anne Collod, Ivana Müller, and Julie Desprairies in France, and with André Braga and Cláudia Figueiredo in Portugal.
